Purpose

The API layer serves as central point of entry for technical users. ONE DATA is designed to fit into existing enterprise ecosystems as good as possible. This implies, that ONE DATA does not only connect data sources with the Data Hub, but also offers capabilities to have a central point of entry for data provisioning. The aforementioned modules are not reachable with third-party applications directly. The API layer serves as abstraction layer to support the following means:

  • Offering several authentication possibilities (e.g., basic auth or JWT)
  • Offering several transport protocols (e.g., REST or GraphQL)
  • Being the central fix point for third-party applications for data acquisition, loading or exchange of resources

Standard projects

  • Data Lake
  • Mediator system
